Enjoy Your Next Game or Concert by Boat

We all know that boating and summer go hand-in-hand, but you may not realize how many other summer activities can incorporate boating. Did you know you can combine boating with some other favorite pastimes like sporting events or concerts? Just don’t forget to wear your life jackets and to designate a sober skipper!

If you’re a sports or music fan, you’re in luck. Below is our bucket list of top places to catch the best game or concert by boat:

.

  • Major League Baseball: Oracle Park – San Francisco, CA

There are few more notable places where boating and baseball converge. If you’ve ever watched the San Francisco Giants play, you’ve most likely noticed the swarm of kayaks, paddle boards and other boats converged in the now world-famous McCovey Cove. From here, you can catch all the action via the park’s scoreboard and, who knows, maybe you’ll even snag a home run ball!

.

If you’re a college football fan, chances are the name “Vol Navy” rings a bell. This famous group of football fanatics arrive by boat before every Tennessee Volunteers home game to cheer on their beloved Vols. If you’re looking to catch a game, head down the Tennessee River to the three-mile-long Volunteer Landing. But make sure to get there early on gameday!

.

The Jacksonville Jaguars home stadium is a great spot to catch the game by boat. Located within walking distance of Metropolitan Park Marina on the St. Johns River, football fans can walk from their boat dock or hang out in the waterway to catch the game. The marina offers nearly 80 slips for boats up to 80 feet, but that doesn’t mean they don’t fill up fast!

.

If you’re looking to catch the hottest new musical acts from the comfort of your boat, look no further than New York’s Jones Beach. No matter what type of music you’re into, Jones Beach Theater hosts the best. Artists like The Who, Jimmy Buffett, Dave Matthews Band, Meek Mill, Zac Brown Band and Santana have all takien to the stage at Jones Beach. While you may not be able to see everything going on inside the theater, by anchoring up in Zach’s Bay, you’ll likely be able to jam along with all your favorite tunes. There’s nowhere better to combine top notch musical acts with the pastime of boating.
